Narayana Phand is Thailand's biggest handicraft store. Quality Thai handicrafts such as Thai dolls, puppets, khon masks, silk, silverware, bencharong-ware, pearl-inlay ware, lacquerware and wooden sculpture suitable for souvenirs and gifts can be obtained at a reasonable price here.

For good quality handicraft, souvenirs and Thai silk the place to visit anyway is Narayana Phand in Bangkok, opposite World Trade Center. Pronounce it as Naraiphan (as you already know if you are a regular visitor to this site). It is Government owned and prices are fixed. On the left hand side picture you see the building and on the right hand side picture a small part of their brass department is shown. I truly believe that no visit to Bangkok is complete without a visit to Narayana Phand.

Please note that there are some shops around the hall where you enter Narayana Phand. As a rule they are too expensive. Enter the Narayana Phand area (you can verify that you are there from the labels) first and check prices there before you buy in the shops around it.
