Vichienket Arts Exhibition 2008 , exhibition of art by the Vichienket family, at the City Gallery, the Siam City Hotel.
This artistic family, led by National Artist Chamruang Vichienket, is showing over 70 sculptures of all sizes to raise funds for the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer for the Underprivileged, Thai Red Cross Society. Until January 30.

Chamruang Vichienket

Born : March 2, 1931, Kalasin, Thailand
Residence : Vichienket Studio 70/488 Soi 4, Prachanives 2, Prachachuan Road, Thailand, Tel (662)573 -1995, 574-4278
Education : 1950-1954 Studied at the Faculty of Painting and sculpture, Silpakorn University, under the supervision of Professor Corrado Feroci.
Professional Experience
1953 Sculpture King Rama the First and King Rama the Fifth at Military Conference.
1954 Began the teaching career as an Instructor of Sculpture, Faculty of Painting and Sculpture, Silpakorn University.
1960 Appointed as the guest lecturer in Industrial Arts at the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University and Faculty of Architecture, Silpakorn University.
1964 Tranfer to be an instructor at Department of Applied Arts Studies, Faculty of Decorative Arts, Silpakorn University.
1988 Retired to work at home
1992 Special instructure at Department of Fine Arts, Bangkok University, Teaching in Sculpture.
